Life after 50 years old

Our youth (up to 30 years old) gave us the time and opportunity to make bad chooses in health and other decisions. The early 40s we noticed we weren’t young anymore (our numbers change, blood count, pressure, sugar, and others), but we choose not to make the dramatic changes needed to stay healthy at that time.

In our 50s we notice;
We get tired and have to rest
Our body is getting non-responsive
Aches and pains are more noticeable and we have to change our life style
We make it a point to see the doctor or maybe even a specialist and we don't seem to get healthier and in some cases worse
We think maybe the best is behind us

The wise ones among us are ready to make dramatic life style changes (maybe not all at once), they can see the future (things you are not able do and sickness) if things don’t change. It is time to make some concuss decisions if you want to keep control of your life, it is illogical to believe we can continue doing what we have been doing and our health will improve. It was that inappropriate activity that got to this stag of bad health.

First, Stop doing things we know will hurt us;
Stop smoking
Limit going out to eat
Watch what we eat
No more soda pop
Watch less television
Stop sitting on our butts
Limit candy and sugar intake

Next, Start looking at doing the healthy thing for a change;
Prepare our own nutritional food
Start learning more about vitamins and increase you intake (especially vitamin C)
Walk more, park further out
Do things, instead of expecting to be entertained
Learn more on what it takes to be healthy
Start associating with like minded people (healthy minded)
Get out of debt
Liquidate some of the stuff you don’t need (if I need it, think rent)
Keep your mind active, learn new skills

Then you need to change your attitude towards life;
Is the American Dream your dream? Who cares about the Jones’?http:
How do you want to live your 60s, 70s, and beyond?
Do you want to be dependent on doctors and medicine for the rest of your life?
Are you looking forward to enrolling on government assistance, waiting in line, and the government chooses the means of care you will get (whatever that is)?
What alternative health care options are available to me?
I know once I get sick my options for health care is limited, but what are those options?

Your decisions in your 50s will determine your later years, right or wrong, it is your choice. What are you going to do after 50?
